The Frederick Bulls Baseball Club provides select 9U and 10U Frederick Little League players the opportunity to experience limited-distance travel tournament baseball while remaining an active member of their local recreational league team.
Ages
- 10U Team: born 5/1/2015 or after
- 9U Team: born 5/1/2016 or after
Participation Requirements
Bulls players must:
- Play for a Frederick Little League team in either the Fall or Spring season, or both.
- Attend a tryout, and be selected. NOTE: Players may also be invited to sub in to one or more tournaments in the event of a roster shortage. Sub-in players are selected based on in-season rec league performance, among other factors.
Travel Radius
Bulls teams participate in tournaments within one hour of Frederick, to include tournaments in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Once per year, teams may travel to a tournament requiring one or two-day overnight accommodations.
Scheduling
- Tournaments do not interfere with Frederick Little League games.
- Weekly practices are held throughout the Fall and Winter.
- Families and players may expect to potentially participate in an additional 16 - 20 games per season.
Cost
- Annual cost is estimated to be between $400 and $500--covering uniforms and tournament fees.
- Fundraising initiatives may be undertaken to help reduce costs.
